Advantages of the wash gel are generally known. But why to buy it if you can make it for a few bucks.
Ingredients
soap | the best is homemade this instruction | 250 g | - |
sodium carbonate (washing soda - NaCO3) | 300 g | - | |
orange oil | about 15 to 60 drops as needed | 1 ml | - |
Directions
- Orange gel for washing colored clothes begins with shredding of soap. It can also be cut into smaller pieces and chop in a blender. The smaller pieces the better. Preferably, you can use a home-made soap according to this instruction.
- Put the soap into the pot and pour 5 liters of water. Begin to heat and stir occasionally to dissolve soap.
- When soap is dissolved and the temperature drops to about 40°C add 300 g of sodium carbonate. It dissolves in a few seconds.
- You can also strain it, but it is not needed.
- Add 10 liters of cold water.
- This mixture store in containers with a wide neck, ideally bucket with a lid.
- For the effect you can add a little color to coloring soap, or food coloring. It has no practical value, maybe just to distinguish, if you mix several types of gels so you recognize it at first glance.
- Add about 15 to 60 drops of orange oil. Gel can be divided into several smaller containers and to each can be added a different essential oil.
- Keep containers closed and leave them until the next day to cool completely.
- Open the next day, the gel will have a density of pudding, mix it. This can be done manually, the best with hand blender.
- Store in sealed containers out of the reach of children.

Dosage:
Dose approximately 150-200 ml per washing. Each water has different composition, so start with this dose, which can be adjusted later if necessary.
Industrially produced gels have a different consistency, which is easier to dose, but the effect on washing is same.
If you want to use the gel on white linens, add this homemade bleach. Diapers and white linens will literally shine.
